When talking about Nairobi’s most coveted matatus, the first name to come out of your mouth will probably be the golden matatu speeding down Rongai’s routes.
The Phanton 808 (aka Rustiez) is the latest, most pristine Matatu to grace the Kenyan roads. It plies the Nairobi Railways down the Rongai route. Its addition to the Sacco #RongaiLine was received warmly by the public as well as many Kenyan celebrities. For example, Kalekye Mumo, who a famous radio host, instagrammed herself breaking a 5 year spell of ‘panda-ing’ a matatu.

through town and amusing the crowds.
